As an American model, of Cuban, Dutch and English decent, (5'8", 118lbs.) I've had a lot of my work appear in European magazines, working for top agencies. (Elite, Wilhelmina, etc). State-side campaigns have appeared in Vogue, Elle, Women's Health, Glamour and others.
Finding myself in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition was also a big thrill. I was discovered in Miami, Florida in 2008.
Being able to travel and see the world doing something you're passionate about, is one of the most fortunate things I've been able to do.
I've done catwalk runways and high fashion editorial photo shoots. But being on the go outdoors - on location... is always an adventure.
Keeping in shape, staying healthy, sleep and eating right are key for swimsuit and lingerie modelling.
In addition to modelling, I've done limited acting and have appeared in music videos. It would be fun to get into a feature film role. But I've always wanted to branch out into business as a strong female entrepreneur and so I started a co-
partnership, marketing and branding "shesgorJess™."
Eventually, I hope that it becomes a way for me to give back something - for it to become more of a movement and message to empower young women out there to be comfortable in the skin they're in and know that true beauty comes from inside oneself.
Family and faith are very important to me and I'm always ready to help out the several charities for children, which I've become involved with over the years.
Thanks for stopping by. - Jessica Dykstra.
